Georgian Acrostic ‘Regard’ Heart Pendant

An exquisite antique Georgian acrostic heart locket. Mounted to the front with a stunning collection of gemstones, including featuring a ruby, an emerald, a garnet, an amethyst, a ruby and a diamond – the first letter of each gemstone spelling out ‘REGARD’. The gemstones are framed within stylised foliate and cannetille detailing, framed with stylised leaves and twisted vines, in yellow and rose gold. The pendant is hinges to the base, opening to reveal a further glazed locket vitrine within. The pendant is suspended from a trilogy of chains, meeting in the centre with a braided loop, suitable for a wide Georgian chain. Wonderfully hand crafted in rich 18 carat yellow, green and rose gold and dating to 1840.
