A stunning vintage Art Deco ruby and diamond cultured pearl triple strand necklace. Formed of two shield shaped ruby and diamond plaques, strung to either side, suspending a trilogy of silver cream cultured pearl strands. The two plaques are mounted with an important collection of square shaped ‘pigeon blood’ red rubies, accompanied by a certificate confirming the rubies are all natural and untreated material of Burmese origin. The rubies are estimated to weigh a combined total weight of eight carats. Further mounted with approximately three carats of antique round brilliant cut diamonds. The necklace is strung with over one hundred beautifully matched cultured saltwater pearls. Wonderfully hand crafted in rich 18 carat yellow gold and platinum and dating to circa 1930.
