A rare and important antique French ruby and diamond collar necklace. Mounted with a stunning collection of cushion shaped rubies and antique cut diamonds. The graduation of ruby set drops are formed of diamond set leaf motifs and knife edge detailing and alternating between ruby and diamond set articulated swag details to a graduation of ruby and diamond floral drops. Expertly hand crafted in 18 carat yellow gold and silver, accompanied with the original fitted case and dating to circa 1880.
