A rare antique Georgian ‘Regard’ acrostic locket ‘love letter’ vinaigrette pendant. Mounted with a beautiful collection of gemstones — ruby, emerald, garnet, amethyst, ruby, and diamond — the first letter of each spelling the secret acrostic statement of love ‘REGARD’. Opening to reveal a beautifully chased and perforated pomander vinaigrette hinged ‘love letter’ compartment. Complete with a beautiful glazed heart shaped vitrine charm, with original hairwork within. Exquisitely hand crafted throughout in 18 carat rose, green, and yellow gold. Dating to circa 1820.
