Georgian Topaz Locket

A rare and beautiful antique Georgian pink topaz ‘Pansy’ heart shaped locket pendant. Mounted to the front with a collection of foil backed pink topaz gemstones arranged in a ‘pansy’ flower motif. The topaz are framed within stylised floral detailing, framed with oak leaves and budding roses and surmounted with a daisy all in rose. The pendant is hinged to the top, opening to reveal a further hinged glazed locket vitrine within. The reverse is detailed with a flowering four petalled floral motif in green gold. The pendant is suspended from the original intertwined rope twist pendant loop, suitable for a wide Georgian chain. Wonderfully hand crafted in rich 18 carat yellow, green and rose gold, this beautiful pendant is dating to circa 1810.
